Wish you a very Happy New Year! Hope you enjoyed the Margazhi season and all the music that it brought to us. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the connect it gave me with you all – many familiar faces and lots of youngsters and new fans. The interactions were so energizing and gave me a lot of new ideas to think about musically for 2020! The culmination of the season was receiving The Senior Award for Veena by The Music Academy for the this year – very humbling to receive this award for the 10th time since 1990. Seeking all your best wishes and blessings…

Did you know!
Indian seasons are divided into six. Out of them, spring or Vasanth Ritu is welcomed with celebrations after enduring a harsh winter. Vasanth Panchami, or Basant Panchami, is a festival that highlights the coming of spring and falls on January 29, 2020.
On this day, the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, art and learning – Goddess Saraswathi – is worshipped. I am looking forward to the Vasant Panchami concert along with Shri. R. Kumaresh and Shri. Pravin Godkhindi on January 29th at Bengaluru.
