My Veena took me to some beautiful venues this January – to the moon and back with the Chandrayaan concert in Mumbai for NCPA, Dover Lane Music Conference in Kolkata, Thyagaraja Aradhana in Tamil Nadu, Vasant Panchami in Bengaluru. Each of them were beautiful experiences, collaborations with some amazing musicians and lots of lovely memories…
Thyagaraja Aradhana
Thyagaraja Aradhana was celebrated earlier this month with great divinity by my guru, Smt Padmavathy Ananthagopalan. The aradhana (Ceremony of Adoration) is held every year on the anniversary of the demise of the saint. Paying homage to the bard is a moment that reminds us of the huge contribution made by the Trinities to the field of Carnatic Music.
February brings a whole new set of venues and concerts. Tickets and details are on my website schedule.
Vasant Panchami, Bengaluru
Dover Lane, Kolkata
